We love working with you to ensure you get the best design for your unique piece. The design process can start from your simplest of drawings and sketches and we will consider everything that you want, advising when we think there are improvements or alternative design solutions for you to consider. The showroom is brimming with showcase examples of paint finishes and design aspects so a visit to us is highly recommended.
Our custom made, solid wood, furniture and kitchens are individually hand crafted and hand finished in Sussex based workshops.
Our furniture and cabinetmakers use traditional techniques and every piece is hand made to order.
Spray Paint Finish - Our professional spray painters achieve a high quality spray finish and will colour match to Farrow & Ball
Hand Paint Finish - Hand finished paint effects like whitewashing, layered, shabby chic or distressing can give character and charm to your unique piece.
Our wood suppliers are all Sussex based and source their timber responsibly. Our main supplier holds chain of custody certification under both FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) and PEFC™ (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) systems, and is a Timber Trade Federation Responsible Purchaser. This means they undertake all due diligence required under the European Timber Regulation (EUTR): all our purchasing complies with the EUTR.
We are a mature, independent furniture retailer, owned by the same family and trading from the same location since 1991. Selling furniture is all about relationships, we need to understand what you’re looking for and you should have trust in us to deliver it.
We are country people so we understand country people. Here’s a flavour of what makes us tick.
Our team takes your investment in the furniture for your home seriously. Every piece undergoes quality control twice. First when it leaves the workshop and then again just before we deliver it you.
What happens if something goes wrong?
Getting it right first time is our aim, but if things do need a little more attention we listen and act quickly to resolve any problems, we work tirelessly until you are happy with your furniture.
To prepare for delivery - it’s wise to consider the route your piece will take through your home, baring in mind lights and plug sockets, doors and windows.
Caution is especially necessary when the furniture is large or is to be carried to an upstairs room. Furniture can be designed to be dismantled for ease of delivery so it’s worth considering any anticipated obstacles at the design stage.
